Remembered historically as one of the NBA’s most unique teams after turning an 0-9 start into a 47-win season and a postseason appearance, the 2004-05 Chicago Bulls’ story could be accurately described as a rollercoaster ride. A first-year talent with noticeable two-way potential, Luol Deng did his part in ensuring defenders received the chance to experience some of that turbulence, as well. Looking first to pass, the 2004 No. 7 selection elects to attack, nearly leaving LeBron James unbalanced with a nifty crossover before winning the high-profile matchup with a smooth midrange pull-up in the opening quarter. Among the many early-season wins that helped Chicago climb from its historically-slow hole, the Bulls cruised to a 28-point victory over their Central Division foes on December 8, 2004. Deng contributed eight points, one rebound, three assists, one block, and numerous highlights, momentum that helped guide a fifth-place finish in the season's Rookie of the Year race, and eventually, a spot among the most productive talents to enter the Bulls’ record books.
