Pinpoint and precise in nearly every shot attempt he let fly during his first-ever game in the Atlanta Hawks’ colors, Larry Nance Jr. found that such accuracy also applied to his non-scoring contributions, as well. A slightly-late arrival to the Hawks’ early-season rotation, and yet a hand-in-glove fit all the same, Nance Jr. hustles into a selfless sequence, first by eliminating Corey Kispert on a physical, barricade-like pick-and-roll to spring a teammate free. Already barreling towards the paint, the 10-year veteran sustains his tireless energy during a loose ball scramble, directing the misfired perimeter shot flawlessly in the direction of a cutting teammate to set up a simultaneous rebound-and-assist combination. Atlanta couldn’t overcome the Washington Wizards’ comeback effort on October 28, 2024, but Nance Jr.’s debut proved memorable as he chipped in 15 points (on six-of-nine shooting), three rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block, and three 3-pointers.
