Michaela Onyenwere

With her Phoenix Mercury in the midst of a six-game losing streak, Michaela Onyenwere had seen enough. Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull’s eyes lit up when she thought she had a clear path to an open transition jumper, but Onyenwere had other ideas as she fought through some contact to disrupt Hull’s attempt with an emphatic rejection that sailed out of bounds. Onyenwere did a little bit of everything for the Mercury as she posted nine points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks off the bench to help her squad pick up a much-needed 85-63 win on June 29, 2023.
