Mighty enough in stature to leave the Phoenix Suns’ reporters needing stepladders to interview him at eye-level, Bol Bol — fittingly — looked the part of a player on a steady climb to close the month of February. Finding the “light” to be slightly greener with the third part of Phoenix’s “Big Three” tending to injury, Bol coolly introduces his pick-and-pop expertise, backpedaling his way into a wide-open catch-and-shoot trifecta. It quickly became Bol’s night, as Phoenix cruised to a much-needed blowout victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. The daunting three-games-in-four-nights challenge isn’t something that players outwardly look forward to, but in Bol’s case, said stars aligned for him to take full advantage. Over February’s three-game close, the 7-foot-3, Sudan-born big man averaged 21.0 points per on almost-unheard-of 70-57-88 percentage splits (23-of-33 overall, and 18 3-point attempts over the span). Coalescing volume and long-awaited opportunity perfectly, Bol closed February 28, 2025’s win with a highly-efficient 25-point, three-rebound, two-block, five-triple masterpiece.
