Ironically, with Miami Heat defenders standing in his way, Gary Harris ensured that on October 23, 2024, at the very least, such concerns would be well taken care of. Matching the Magic’s All-Star nearly point-for-point with a deep-range flamethrower that reasonably couldn’t have been more accurate on Opening Night, Harris hustles into a memorable opportunity on a baseline out of bounds play. Working a subtle misdirection dribble that threatens Haywood Highsmith’s defensive stance entirely, Harris steps back into free space, draining his fifth trifecta of the opening half alone. Keeping his spot-on shooting exclusive to the 3-point line, Harris helped Orlando overwhelm Miami for a road win, contributing 18 points (on six-of-nine shooting), three rebounds, one assist, two rejections.
